We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Lead to manage and optimise our supply chain for high-value defence, aerospace, and cyber programmes. You will play a central role in shaping procurement strategies, securing suppliers, and ensuring compliance with both UK Government and industry standards.
Key responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end procurement activities across multiple projects, from requirements gathering to contract award.
Develop and execute category strategies that maximise value, ensure resilience, and mitigate risk.
Run competitive tenders, RFPs, and supplier evaluations, ensuring fair process and best outcomes.
Negotiate commercial terms, service levels, and pricing to deliver cost savings and strategic advantage.
Manage supplier relationships, ensuring delivery performance, risk mitigation, and ongoing improvement.
Work closely with project, engineering, and commercial teams to align procurement with delivery needs.
Maintain compliance with MoD, Defence Standards (DEFSTAN), and wider public sector procurement regulations.
Implement continuous improvement in procurement practices, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
Requirements:
Proven track record in procurement within Defence, Government, or regulated industries.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Knowledge of public procurement frameworks (e.g., CCS, DSP, or MOD frameworks).
Familiarity with legal and contractual processes in high-value projects.
Ability to balance commercial value, risk, and compliance.
Eligible for UK security clearance (SC/DV).
