We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Developer to take ownership of the design and delivery of complex, secure, and scalable systems across defence, aerospace, and cyber domains. You will act as both a technical authority and hands-on developer, working directly with high-level stakeholders to deliver next-generation digital capabilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of .NET, C#, and cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with mission requirements.

  • Architect modular, resilient software systems that integrate with Palantir, data fabrics, and secure cloud services.

  • Mentor and guide a small team of developers, setting coding standards, enforcing best practices, and driving technical excellence.

  • Collaborate with consultants, analysts, and clients to capture requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.

  • Deliver against strict performance, latency, and security objectives in high-assurance environments.

  • Contribute to DevOps pipelines, CI/CD automation, containerisation, and infrastructure-as-code approaches.

Requirements:

  • Expert in C#, .NET 6–9, and associated enterprise frameworks.

  • Experience with Azure or AWS cloud environments (Azure preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of secure coding standards, encryption, and high-assurance system design.

  • Familiarity with Palantir integrations, API development, or large-scale data pipelines an advantage.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with proven success in guiding technical teams.

  • Eligible for UK security clearance (BPSS/SC/DV).
