Role Overview
You will be responsible for producing compelling, compliant, and strategically aligned bids that support AIC’s growth across government and private sector contracts. This role requires a deep understanding of structured delivery environments, including Framework Agreements, Statements of Work, and subcontracting models.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end bid development for defence, security, and enterprise opportunities
Translate technical, legal, and commercial inputs into clear, persuasive proposals
Align bids with structured contractual models (Framework Agreements, SoWs, subcontract flow-down)
Work closely with technical architects, legal, and commercial teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
Develop pricing narratives aligned to milestone-based delivery and risk-controlled commercial models
Own bid governance, ensuring submissions meet deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations
Maintain and improve reusable bid content, templates, and knowledge base
Support capture planning and opportunity qualification
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Bid Writer in defence, government, or regulated sectors
Strong understanding of UK public sector procurement (e.g. MOD, CCS frameworks)
Ability to interpret and respond to complex ITTs, RFPs, and RFQs
Experience working with structured delivery models (SoW-based delivery, subcontracting, governance frameworks)
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
Strong commercial awareness (pricing models, risk, liability positioning)
Ability to operate in high-assurance, security-conscious environments
Desirable
Experience in cyber, secure systems, or classified environments
Familiarity with legal/commercial constructs (IP, liability, governance models)
Background in technical architecture or programme delivery
