The RAF’s Mojave programme is shaping the future of autonomous swarm operations—melding machine learning, mission control, and distributed ISR.
The RAF Mojave programme has entered its next phase with trials combining AI swarm autonomy, ML-driven flight control, and hybrid manned-unmanned teaming. The initiative aligns with NATO’s DIANA accelerator for autonomous systems and Defence AI Strategy goals.
Key focus areas include cooperative targeting, electronic warfare synchronization, and multi‑domain data fusion. The system’s ‘synthetic control’ algorithms allow operators to task and retask swarms in real-time, supported by on-edge inference hardware and resilient mesh networks.
These experiments are converging with AIC’s interest in cross-domain autonomy and tactical data layers that can bridge ISR assets with AI-enabled decision loops.
