Whistleblowing & Reporting Procedure

Effective Date: 27 Sept 2025

1. Policy Purpose

AIC encourages reporting of wrongdoing (including modern slavery indicators, money laundering concerns, bribery, corruption, safety breaches) without fear of reprisal.

2. Scope

Applies to employees, contractors, suppliers, clients and third parties.

3. How To Report

Options:

Reports can be anonymous but providing contact details allows for follow-up. If the report is urgent and concerns immediate danger or a possible criminal act, contact the police / NCA immediately.

4. Protection for Whistleblowers

AIC will not tolerate retaliation or victimisation. Any attempt to penalise a whistleblower will be treated as misconduct and subject to disciplinary action.

5. Investigation & Confidentiality

  • Reports are acknowledged within 5 working days.

  • Investigations conducted impartially; maintain confidentiality to the extent possible.

  • Where wrongdoing is confirmed, AIC will take corrective action, which may include contractual remedies, remediation, disciplinary or referral to authorities.

6. External Reporting

If internal routes are not appropriate or concerns persist, individuals may contact:

  • National Crime Agency (NCA) — for SARs and suspected financial crime.

  • UK Modern Slavery Helpline or law enforcement for urgent human trafficking incidents.

  • Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for data protection concerns.
