Challenge

Event staffing is operationally demanding.

Organisers need to understand who is available, who is qualified, who has been booked, who has confirmed and where staffing gaps remain. Crew members need clear schedules, simple communication and an easy way to manage their availability.

When this process is handled through spreadsheets, group chats, manual lists and disconnected booking tools, staffing becomes inefficient and error-prone. For larger venues, festivals, production sets and multi-day events, the coordination burden increases quickly.

The challenge was to modernise the UrbanCrew concept into a scalable SaaS platform that could support more structured workforce coordination across event environments.
